Regardless of age or what the registrant himself thinks about his ability to serve, the questionnaire must be filled out and returned within the time specified, headquarters empha sized. Some 20,000 other auto work ers continued idle in the Mack avenue plant of the Briggs Body company and at Chrysler's Ply mouth division, because of a la bor dispute In Briggs frame de partment. Hotels Hit The eight largest hotels In Pittsburgh were hit last mid night by a strike of 2,000 bell boys, cooks, waiters, elevator operators and other service workers, who demanded 19 to 20 percent wage increases. There are 1,800 separate wage classifications, ranging from $20 to $180 month. The hotels made no effort to operate and turned away persons seeking rooms. Washington, D. C, hotel op erators faced the threat of a similar walkout. Jones, 80, of 110 Quince street, was confined in Sacred Heart hospital today with a broken arm aha suffer ed when she lost her balance and fell off a three-feet-hlgh platform in the Grange hall at Gold Hill late last night. According to George Davis, driver for the Perl's ambulance which transported Mrs. Jones to the hospital, the aged woman, attending a Grange meeting, re ceived breaks in the wrist and elbow of her right arm when she threw her arm forward as she fell off the platform. A car operated by Mrs. Eliz abeth L. Garnett of 211 North Peach street, leaped the curb and struck the front steps of the Hunter apartments, 81 North Oakdale avenue, after it was involved in an accident at I the Oakdale avenue-Sixth street intersection with a machine driven by James Osborn of Jacksonville yesterday after noon, a report on file said to day.
