Mary Helen Krueger. first year club worker from Dead Indian, and Patsy Von der Hel len of Antelope, long in the field, rated grand championships in the hog and sheep Judging held yesterday afternoon, open ing day of the fourth annual county 4-H livestock show being held at the fair grounds, and sponsored by the Medford Ro tary club. Mary exhibited Duroc-Jersey fat market hog, and Patsy re ceived honors for the fourth year with a Southdown fat lamb. Kenneth Bendure of Shady Cove placed first in the goat division. The beef fitting contest also was featured yesterday after noon, the young beeves being curled and cleaned to perfec tion. Louis Walsh of Lake Creek placed first in the Hereford fit ting, and John Ousterhout of Little Butte first In the Angus division. Donald Nichols, Bell- lew worker, and only entry in the beginners' class, was given first place in his division. H. A Llndgren of Oregon State col lege judged the sheep and hogs yesterday. Angus fitting Gerald Ouster hout, second. JURY DISAGREES IN GONE TRIAL Justice court Jurors In the trial of Stephen J. Cline, charg ed with passing another auto with Insufficient clearance, were unable to agree and were dis charged yesterday afternoon, after nearly two hours delibera tion. The six-man Jury Informed the court they stood four to two for conviction. The trial lasted a day and a half. District Attorney George A. Netlson has not yet decided whether or not to call another trial. The case was based on an auto accident on the Pacific highway near Central Point last June, when an auto driven by Cline crashed head-on Into a Greyhound stage.
