Burglarised Two bottles of Coca-Cola were stolen from a vending machine at the Pinnacle backing plant number 4, which was broken into last night, according to a report made by Tom R. Williams, warehouse patrolman.- Williams reported that no money was taken from the machine. m e Leaves For Home Harry C. Cameron, lookout at Tallowbox in the Applegate district of the Rogue River national forest, left today for his home in Clin ton, Mo., summoned because of .the illness of his mother. He resigned his Job and notified forest headquarters he planned to remain at home. Cameron came out here as a CCC enrollee ir January, 1936, and was as signed to Camp Applegate, un der U. S forest service adminis tration. He was telephone oper ator at the Star ranger station last year. To Live Here Dr. and Mrs. D. G. Chambers, who arrived here recently from Salt Lake City, Utah, will make their home at 18 Hawthorne avenue, East Lawn courts. Dr. Cham bers will be associated with Dr. L. L. Sanders in the Medford Center building. Dr. Chambers attended Utah State university where he was affiliated with Sigma Chi fraternity. He had four years of training at the North Pacific Dental college at Portland where he was gradu ated with honors and was elect ed to Omicron Kappa Upsilon, national dental honorary. Lease Business Mr. and Mrs. Roscoe Edwards, 421 Benson street, have leased the Farmers' Lunch in the Farmers' Market in Grants Pass. Dinners, light lunches and fountain service will be featured. Mr. and Mrs. Edwards will continue to reside , here. I ! Sherman, 33. negro, Chiloquin, was brought f i'om Klamath Falls to the cojn ty jail here by Paul Hanlin, U. S. deputy marshal, last night. Sherman was charged with sell ing liquor to Indians. He waived preliminary hearing before U. S. Commissioner Bert C. Thomas in Klamath Falls and was held under $2500 bail for arraign ment in U. S. district court on an information. VUlt Ends Mrs. R. W. Thomp son and her daughter Lillian left by car for their home tn Seattle tills morning after a two-day visit at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Hull, 517 South Grape street. The families are old friends, Mr. Hull having been associated with the late Mr. Thompson, an electrical en gineer, in Seattle The visitors were taken to Crater Lake na tional park Tuesday. . . Smith of the Phipps Auto camp and Rosa Ellen Heath of Central Point operated vehicles involved in an accident at Central avenue and Fourth street yesterday aft ernoon, a report on file said today. Vehicles driven by Ches ter M. Lucas of Gresham and J. H. Martin of Phoenix were involved in an accident on the Pacific highway 11 miles south of Medford yesterday afternoon, according to a report on file today. ... But, so far as the public knows, none of his lethal machines ever has been employed in the present war. Mrs. E. G. Burgess! will be instructor. The course Is sponsored by the Jackson county chapter of the American Red Cress. The class includes instruction In simple care of the sick, use of sick room equip ment and methods in prevention of disease in the home. Fifteen weeks of two-hour instruction ate scheduled and those com pleting the course and receiving a satisfactory grade on the ex amination will be given a cer tificate by the Red Cross. A similar course was presented in Medford last spring and many responses have been received for a repetition of the instruc tion, Mrs. H. F. Padgham, chair man of the course, stated today. e Expected Home Mrs. J. T. Fliegel and son, Joe, are expect ed to return to their home on College Hill Sunday after a six weeks' motor trip to Wisconsin where they have been visiting relatives. Mrs. Fliegel has been with her father, James Van Camp, who has been seriously ill at his home In Park Falls, Wis. She has also been visiting her sister, Mrs. Albert Koshak, at Butternut, Wis. While t Butternut the Fllegels were ma rooned at the Koshak lodge for several day by a flood. During this time Joe made numerous trips in a boat which transported the guests from the lodge to other destinations. Joe took his four-year-old cocker spaniel, 'Rusty" on his vacation east and reports by mail indicate that the pet is becoming a vet eran traveler. Mr. Fliegel plans to meet his wife and ton in Portland over the week-end and accompany them to Medford. Aracaro Suspended New York, Sept 11.
