More are expected to en roll during the coming week. Biggest rise in registration was at the high school, where 284 appeared in comparison to 250 on first day last year. At Washington school 240 student! enrolled, where 223 appeared last year. Slight drops appeared in the enrollment figures for the jun was from 1940'g 248 to today's 230. The Washington school enroll FALL QUARTER AT SOCE WILL OPEN ON SEPTEMBER 22 Registration Of UpperClass men Scheduled Septem ber 24- (SpIV The fall quarter at the Southern Oregon College of Ed ucation will open Monday, Sep tember 22, with registration for all freshman students. Upper classmen will register Wednes day. September 24.. The college offers two defin ite courses of study, the teacher education course and the junijr college course. Students enroll ed in teacher education are now able to work toward a bachelor of science degree in elementary education upon completion of a standard four-year course of study. Students interested In Junior college work and liberal arts will find a wide variety of offerings in art. music, science and mathematics, English, soc ial science, psychology, and health and physical education. Students enrolled In Junior col lege work are able to complete from one to two years of work in medicine, law, forestry, en gineering, home economics, bus iness administration, and many other fields. Students enrolling at the col lege for the first time should submit a transcript of their high school or college record some time prior to registration. It would be particularly helpful to new students to call at the of fice of the registrar before reg istration day in order to make out their fall program. College entrance examina. tions for all freshman students will be given on Tuesday and Wednesday, September 23 and 24.
