Gilmore, transient, was fined 15 and $4.50 costa in justice of the peace court yesterday afternoon on a charge of being diunk on a public highway. Camera Stolen O. W. Miller reported to city police yesterday that a camera valued at $20 was stolen out of his car when it was parked in front of the Bear Creek Orchards packing plant. Minor Mishap Mary E. Gritsch of 335 South Ivy street and R. R. Hupp of Route 1 drove cars in volved in a slight mishap at Fir and Main streets yesterday aft ernoon, a report on iile said today. Neely and her daughter Shirley left Wednesday by car for their home in Portland after spending two weeks here at the home of Mrs. Neely's parents, Mr. and Mrs. John E. Gribble, 139 Ken uvfcood avenue. Miss Alyce Schnei der, also of Portland and a friend of the family, accom panied the visitors home. She had been a guest at the Gribble home since last Friday. Mrs. Neely's husband, a lieutenant in the air o rps stationed at the Portland bare, is to return to Portland early next month from Fort Leavenworth, Kas., where he has been taking special studies. B. Coleman appointing V. E. Rolfe, Richard Payne and Paul Meyers appraisers for the estates of Clarence E. and Alta E. Wal bert, young Medford couple missing In a small plane since last November. Worker Fined Bruce Brum field, 19, a transient farm work er, was fined $10 and $4.50 costs In justice of the peace court yesterday afternoon for striking Arthur Rayworth, superintend ent of the Kershaw orchard, yesterday morning when Ray worth tried to advise him on how to do his work better. A complaint charging assault and battery was filed by Gordon Kershaw, owner of the orchard. Brumfield pleaded guilty. To Resume Lodge activities will be resumed at the Masonic temple with the beginning of September after a summer re cess during July and August. Officers said that all signs point to a busy year in the Blue Lodge, the York and Scottish Rite bodies and the Eastern Star. First to resume activities will be Crater Lake chapter No. 32, R. A. M., the session being scheduled for 8 p. m. next Tuesday at the temple. All Masons are invited to the meet ings of the lodges to which they belong. Publicises Oregon Miss Kath ryn L. Gunnell of Salem stopped in Medford today while en route north after a nine months' tour of central and southern Cali fornia publicizing Oregon with a lecture program and natural color pictures of the state. She was driving an automobile painted with scenic pictures of Oregon. Miss Gunnell's tour was sponsored by five chambers of commerce in the Willamette valley: Newburg, Independence, Stayton, Mt. Angel and Silver ton. The back of her car was devoted to a large painting of Crater lake, symbolizing south ern Oregon.
