Hayes of Med ford will be a member of the panel board dlscuuing "The Re lation of the Surgeon to the State Industrial Accident Com mission" when doctors of the state meet In Portland Septem ber 2 to 8 for the 67th annual session of the Oregon State Med ical society. Panel discussion are an inno vation at this year's meeting. The session will again stress postgraduate study with out standing doctors of the United States going to Portland to ad dress the state medics. Leading the list of guest speakers will be Dr. Frank H. Lahey, Boston, president of the American Medical association, who will discuss developments in medicine and surgery. Sessions will be held on the campus of the University of Oregon medical school. EAGLESOBSERVE AERIE BIRTHDAY The fifteenth anniversary of the Installation of the Crater Lake Aerie, Fraternal Order of Eagles, will be celebrated at the lodge hall on North, Front street Sunday, according to plans an nounced by the worthy presi dent, Ray Marks. The Yreka chapter of the Eagles will be guests of honor at the birthday party, Marks aid, because it was the Yreka chapter that installed the Med- ford group. All Eagles clubs in the district are Invited to attend the birth day party, and it is anticipated that a large number will attend. Radio Highlights FOR NEEDY LADY An urgent appeal for clothes for a woman in dire want was made today by Adjutant Charles K. Cox, head of the Salvation army here. The woman needs a dress and underwear of size 44 or 46. (IP) The State Civilian Defense council announced today mobilization of the state's medical fraternity in to a "medical disaster relief or ganization," to supervise first aid and relief work in the event of air raids or enemy invasion. Participation agencies Include the Oregon State Medical so ciety, Oregon State Nurses as sociation, Oregon association of Hospitals and the American Red Cross. Heads of these organizations were appointed to a state-wide committee which will organize county disaster relief commit tees. Clyde C.
