Arrives Mrs. Doris Miller re turned to her home at the Mil Mar ranch at Prospect today after visiting In San Francisco. She returned to Oregon by train. Improving Mrs. E. E. j Visit Mother Mrs. Leah Davis reported to be improving satis factorily at the bacred Mean hospital where she underwent a major operation last week. C, and other points In Can ada for a 10-day motor trip Mr. Barr is associated with the L Goodyear Rubber company. Officers to Meet The Reserve Officers' group school will meet tonight at 7:30 o'clock at the Medford armory. All reserve officers are cordially invited to take part In the discussion, which will deal with military tactics. Visiting Ted Nave, former Medford resident, now in the U. S. army air corps, ii spend ing two weeks in this city. He graduated from the air corps technical school, clerical divi sion, Fort Logan near Denver, Colo., and is en route to Spo kane where he will be stationed at the new air base. Examiner Coming A travel lng examiner of operators and chauffeurs will be in Medford f city hall Saturday, May 3t, from 9 a. m. to 5 p. m. All those wishing permits or licenses to drive cars are asked to get in touch with the examiner during those hours, according to an an nouncement from the secretary of state'i office. In Mississippi Word has been received here that Lieut, and Mrs. Edwin Halliwell, both for mer residents of this city, are residing at 104 Fourteenth street, Hattiesburg, Miss. Lieut. Halli well is located at Camp Shelby with the 28th quartermaster regiment, U. S. Infantry. Mrs. Halliwell Is the former Ruth Hill. FUNERAL TOMORROW FOR WILLIAM SMITH Funeral services for William Smith, who passed away Sunday at Phoenix, will be held in the Conger Funeral Parlors Thurs day at 10 a.m. The fraternal Or der of Eagles will have charge of the services.
