Watts told group of timber men, forest agents and mill op erators that the average timber growth in the Klamath area In the past decade was 240 million feet a year and the annual cut of ponderosa pine averaged 48S million feet. An additional 340 million feet was lost annually, ha said, from fire arid pine beetles. The 1940 Klamath cut was 700 million feet, WatU. said, and this Is expected to rise another 23 million feet for th next three years.
