Tryouts Tonight Robert Stedman, director of "Petticoat Fever," issued a call today for more men and women to try out for the play this evening at 7:30 in the Medford high school auditorium. Although first try outs were held last evening, the entire cast was not selected. Mr. Stedman said, and won't be until after tonight's tryouts. The Texan wrote Grady, stat ing his case and saying that here seemed to be a splendid exam ple of how not to answer a cour teous suggestion. Grady, knowing Gaston per sonally, telephoned him with the idea of ribbing him. but Gaston refused to rib. He In sisted that Grady have a talk with him. The talk lasted a couple of hours and as a result there s a new set-up in Gaston's office. S. forest sen-ice protection were reported out or controlled today. All but one were caused by lightning. One. a grass and brush fire that covered six acres on Roxy Anne mountain this side of the Prescott CCC camp, was man-caused, state forest patrol headquarters said. Two other state forest fires! were confined to snags struck by lightning, one being north of Crater Lake highway above Flounce Rock and the other a mile east of Chimney Rock south of Lake Creek.
