.after a summer vacation, with
Lillian Flynn, new president
elect presiding at a recent ses
sion in the armory.
A lengthy report was given on
the annual convention held at
Seaside, September 4 to 7, and
President Flynn appointed com
mittee chairmen for the ensuing
year.
Due to increased activities of
the unit a vote was taken by
members to have two business
meetings each month. Second
and fourth Wednesdays will be
regular meeting nights. Sewing
meetings will be arranged and
announced at a later date.
The legion and auxiliay will
have joint installation at Grants
Pass Monday, Sept. 23. 8 p. m.
Ashland. Grants Pass and Med
ford officers being installed.

From Vacation
Miss Margaret Gilman. Ivan
Gilman and Newton Smith re
turned last" week from a three
weeks' vacation trip to South
Dakota where they visited
friends and relatives.
While there, the vacationers
enjoyed the state fair at Huron
and visited the only corn palace
in the world at Mitchell. On
their return trip, the trio stop
ped at places of interest in the
Black Hills and Yellowstone
national park.
