Driver Tests Applicants for
licenses or permits to operate
motor vehicles will be examined
here on Thursday as well as
Saturday this week. A state
examiner will be in council
chambers on the top floor of
city hall from 9 a. m. to 5 p. m.
Thursday and as many appli
cants as possible are asked to
report to him. The extra ser
vice is Intended to relieve con
gestion Saturday.
Boy Removed Donald Hol
land, 12-year-old son of Mrs.
Dollie Holland of Central Point
was to be moved today from the
Community hospital to his home.
Donald has been confined in the
hospital for a week with a
broken les as the result of an
accident in a barn in Central
Point, when he jumped from
one haystack to another. Don
ald will be confined to his home
for some time while his leg is
in a cast.
Fruit Exhibits Working in
cooperation, the Jackson Coun
ty Chamber of Commerce and
the county agent's office are
continuing their policy of send
ing fruit in season to the Golden
Gate international exposition for
inclusion in the Oregon state
agricultural exhibit. This week
peaches are to be sent to the
expoition. Last week Bartlett
pears were shipped. Earlier in
the season cherries were sent
from this county. Fresh ship
ments are made periodically to

pursuit plane from Moffett field
to Medford and return. The
pilots were Lieuts. A. P. Tacon,

Pinnacle Packing company plant
