Gilberts Hera Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Gilbert left last evening for their home in Klamath Falls after having visited here for several days during which time Mr. Gilbert transacted business. Thev formerly lived in Med ford. Bolgors Hera Mr. and Mrs. W. S. Bolger arrived here last evening from Yakima, Wash., to spend several days. Mr. Davis suffered the injury last week when a hydrometer glass broke as he was removing the rubber bulb. Sentenced Edward M. How ard, 43, charged with drunken ness, was sentenced to serve 10 days in city jail when he ap peared before City Judge Allen D. Curry this morning. William C. Casey, 31, and James E. Porter, 21, both charged with drunkenness, were told to leave town immediately or spend 10 days in jail. S. civil service commission today an nounced open competitive ex aminations for the following po sitions: fish counter-operator and foreman, for employment near Wenatchee and Leaven worth, Wash., and at ends of Bonneville dam; junior gradu ate nurse, $1620 a year; medical officers, various grades, $3200 to $4600 a year; pathologist, $3800 a year; veterinarian, $3800 a year, and ornithologist, $3800 a year.
