son school Monday to continue

rick, city superintendent of
schools. H. W. Gustin, prin
cipal of Jackson school, also
spoke briefly.

noon luncheon at Hotel Med
ford. In the afternoon session Ben
Trowbridge of Trowbridge ac

display of florescent lighting
and discussed school lighting.

Rotary club meeting at noon
today. A large gathering ol
Rotarlans and guests heard him
discuss various phases of the
motor transport industry and
general highway transportation
throughout the west in relation
to national defense.

the National Highway Users'
conference, Mr. Springer has
contributed much toward re
moval of highway barriers be
tween state as pertaining to
highway transportation and has
worked unceasingly in the in
terest of uniformity of state
laws regulating highway use.

eral public relations and long
study of problems affecting
n i g n w a y transportation, air.
Springer s talk was especially
enlightening. The Importance
of western highways in this
nation's defense program was
stressed by the speaker.
