Recent Wedding Ceremony of Interest Here Of Interest to their many friend, in the valley is the mar riase of Miss Norma Zinser, rtaushter of Mr. and Mrs. E. O Zinser of Coburg and former Central Point high school teach er, to Harold H. Head, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry W. Head of Central Point on Saturday, June 13. The wedding took place at ,u.n t the home of the bride's patents, the service being read before an arched lattice decorat mH with nink roses, madonna mi., and lieht blue delphinium, h. Dr. J. D. McCormlck of Springfield, preceding mo mony, Miss Joan DuRette of Gervais, sang 'The Prayer Per feet" accompanied by Mrs. Frank Saalfeld of Woodburn. The bride wore a dusty blue afternoon dress made with a yoke of blue lace, and a shoul der corsage of pink roses, lily of the valley, and blue forget-me-nots. For her going away nsemble. she wore a rose and white crepe dress with a navy blue coat and navy blue acces sories. After a breakfast served to the Immediate relatives and dose friends, the couple left on a wedding trip to Victoria and Vancouver, B. C. Mr. and Mrs. Head will be at home after June 24 at 225 North Holly, Medford. The bride is a graduate of the University of Oregon in Eugene where she was affiliated with Mu Phi Epsilon and Phi Beta Kanna sororities. Mr Head sraduated from Ore gon State college in Corvallis where he was a member of Beta Alnha Psl and Mu Beta Beta. He later took a year of graduate work at the University of Ore gon. Miss Hayes Will Attend Missouri College In Fall Alice Case Is Party Honoree At Two Affairs According to news received in Medford yesterday. Miss Mary Hayes, eldest daughter of Dr. and Mrs. James C. Hayes, has been accepted into Wash ington university in St. Louis. Mo., for a year's course in med ical social work, during which time she will also work on her master's degree. The school term begins next September. Miss Hayes for the past three years has been employed by the state of Washington In social service work in child welfare division. The course at the St Louis college Is regarded as one of the finest in medical social work in the country. Miss Hnyes, after graduating from St. Mary's academy here. graduated from University of Oregon, F.ugene, where she was ffiliated with Alpha Chi Omega sorority. Later she did post graduate work at the University of Washington in Seattle. At the present time she is located in Aberdeen, Wash. Case and Miss Hazel Oliver The occasion marked, the de parture-eve of Miss Case for Washington. D. C, where she has accepted an appointment as senior stenographer with the war department. She plans to leave for the Capital city Tues day morning. Miss Case was also honored on Friday evening at the Carl J. Brommer garden on Minne sota avenue when friends gath ered for a delightful affair and presented her with gifts. Guests Included the Misses Annie J. Russell, Sr. Dr. Sher man L. Divine united the couple In marriage. The bride, given In marriage by her father, wore an exquisite white printed organdie dress with ful skirt. Her finger-tip veil fell from an organdie coro net trimmed with fresh white flowers. Mrs. Harry Kuhn, Jr., of Santa Monica, Cal., was matron of honor. She wore a frock of peach net and carried a co lonial bouquet of pastel colors. Bridesmaids were Miss Jeanne McKay, who wore a tourquoise blue taffeta gown; the bride's sister-in-law, Mrs. LeRoy Wil liams, whose gown matched Miss McKay's: Miss Shirley Gibson, who was attired in light blue taffeta, and Mrs. Elsie Moore, whose dress was rose net. Their bouquets were colonial of pas tel hues. Miss . Joyce Williams, the bride's niece, and Miss Darlene Alvord, cousin of the bride, were flower girls. The former was pretty In a green taffeta frock with matching small bon net which tied under the chin with yellow ribbon and lace. Miss Alvord wore peach taffeta and a matching bonnet trimmed in blue ribbon and lace. They carried baskeU of flowers. Carl Bennett, Jr., acted as best man, and ushers were the bride's brothers, LeRoy and Lewis Williams, and the bride groom's two brothers, George and Robert Russell. Vows were spoken at nn altar decorated with ferns and bas kets of delphinium, white lilies and tapers. Mrs. Rose Ellen Uhrine sang "At Dawning" and "I Love You Truly." Hans Hoerlien. church organist, played the wedding music. A reception followed at the home of the bride's parents, 92S Reddy avenue, for SO guests. Assisting Mrs. Williams were Mrs. Gene Cameron, Mrs. Or ville Childreth, Mrs. F. S. Al vord, aunt of the bride from Pasadena, Cal., and Mrs. Jack Gibson. The bride's birthday was also celebated on her wedding day so a wedding cake and birth day cake were placed at either end of the refreshment table, which was centered with pink tapers. Pastel flowers decorat ed the cake plates. Mr. and Mrs. Russell depart ed later on a wedding trip to Seattle. For a going-away en semble, Mrs. Russell wore a rose-colored dress, white acces sories and a white corsage. They will return In a fortnight to make their home in this city. Mrs. Williams, mother of the bride, wore a rose lace dress, blue accessories and s white rosebud corsage at the wedding. Sr., southern Cali fornia: the bride's aunt, Mrs. F. S. Alvord. and her daughter Darlene of Pasadena, and Mrs. Cass Wymore and daughter Caroline of the Redwoods highway. Bride-Elect Is Feted at Shower; Bridge Affair Miss Jenes Jensen, bride-elect . of Norman Moty of Klamath Falls, was entertained at a show er party last week at the John Wilkinson home on rara avenue. Hostesses were miss Geraldine Wilkinson and Mrs. John E. Wilkinson. Guests Included Mesdames Oliver Hughes, William Tucker. The bride, given in marriage by her father, Angus Milton Campbell, wore a beautiful gown of heavy white supper salin of basque style with long train trimmed with cording of ruchings of satin and long leg o' mutton style sleeves. Falling from a halo of orange blossoms was a hand made veil of tulle inset with deep poinU of edging ol chantilly lace. She carried a white prayer book and a shower bouquet of orchids and stepha not is. The bride's sister, Virginia May Campbell, was maid of honor. She wore a bouffant dress of azure hue marquisette inrt a matching poke-bonnet. Sue carried an old fashioned nosegay of yellow roses, snap dragons and delphinium. Bridesmaid was Mrs. Patsy Smith Barr of Medford who wore hyacinth blue marquisette and carried an old-fashioned nosegay of yellow snapdragons, violas and yellow roses. Barbara Balch was the flower girl. She was dressed in pale yellow marquisette with a poke bonnet and carried a basket of yellow rose petals. William T. Angell, a frater nity brother of -Mr. Campbell, aeted as best man and ushers in- eluded Norman Swanson. also a fraternity brother and Douglas Wight. A reception followed the cere mony at the homo of the bride's grandmother, Mrs. S. D. Wil liams, 636 South 17th avenue. The couple went to Victoria, R. c. on their wedding trip and will be at home after June 20 In fnrtland. Young-Moore Betrothal Made Known in City A betrothal of interest was re ceived here yesterday with an nouncement that on August 20 Miss Beverley Young, daughter of Mrs. C. R. Bowman of Ash land will wed David Amoss Moore, son of Mr. and Mrs. Rawles Moore of this city. The bride-elect is the sister of Miss Floy Young, well known Medford hiEh school music in structor. She graduated from the high school and Southern Oregon College of Education in Ashland, attended tne univer sity of Oregon in Eugene and is now working on her master's degree at University of Califor nia in Los Angeles. She is affili ated with Chi Omega social sorority and Phi Beta Kappa, national scholastic honorary fraternity. Mr. Moore whose parenU are prominent long time residents of the valley, is a graduate of Med ford high school and San Mateo Junior college. He is a senior at U.C.LJV. where he is major ing in geology. At the present time he holds a position with Douglas Aircraft company. The ceremony will Uke place in the Presbyterian church in Ashland. The bride-to-be was recently honored at a shower party when graduate students of the physi cal education department at U.C.L.A. entertained at the I home of Ruth Felton In Brent wood Heights in Los Angeles. Early this month a surprise luncheon also honored Miss Young at the El Encanto tea room in Westwood Village, near the U.C.L.A. campus. Noble Grands Enjoy Meeting Past Noble Grands club met at the Girls' Community club Thursday evening, with 35 pres ent. Leah Ivie, president, presided over the meeting. After the regular business the entertain ment committee, with Elizabeth Bowerman in charge, presented very interesting program. Lona Bergman and her com mittee served refreshmenU. The cakes were decorated with flags.
