Recuperating Clinton Neeley of Jacksonville route was re ported, today as recovering nice ly at his home after receiving hospital treatment for several days. He suffered face and shoulder lacerations in an auto accident on the Old Stage road north of Jacksonville. Go North Mr. ' and Mrs. F. Fitzgerald and daughter Fran ces left yesterday for Portland where they will attend the Hose festival and visit relatives and friends. The group was to be joined at Corvallis by Mr. and Mrs. Fitzgerald's son Gerald, who has been attending school in Corvallis. To Appear Charles Merle Santo of 533 Austin street was cited by city police yesterday k to appear in city court Satur ' day at 1 p. m. He was charged with violation of the basic traf fic rule. Santo, police said drove at an excessive rate of speed on North Riverside ave nue. Towniend Meet Townsend club No. 2 will hold a regular meeting In Townsend hall 123V4 West Main street, tomor row evening. Everyone inter ested In the Townsend move ment is invited to attend. He is an annual visitor to the place. Mr. Fried man was associated with the Medford News when he lived here a number of years ago. At Airport Lieut. H. F. Al bert and crew of two stopped at Medford municipal airport this morning to have their army Douglas cargo plane refueled. They arrived from the Sacra mento air depot and left for Seattle. Late arrivals yester day included Lieut. E. W. Burk halter and crew of two, en route from Pearson field, Van couver, Wash., to Hamilton field San Rafael, Cal., in an army North American observation plane; Lieut. R. J. Mahachet, navy flight instructor at Pensa cola, Fla., end his mechanic, ferrying a navy North Ameri can basic combat plane from r Florida to Seattle, Wash.; and Lieut. A. Muller and crew of five, Fort Lewis, Wash., to Hamilton field in a Douglas bomber. To Elect Medford Shrine club will elect officers ut its annual luncheon-meeting in trie Hotel Medford tomorrow noon. In Seattle David Holmes. Sr., is spending several days in Seattle where he is trans acting business and visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John R. Holmes. To Hospital E. G. Returns Home Mrs. Valen tine Andersen returned to her home at 310 Haven street re cently from Casper, Wyo.. where she visited her mother and three orothers. Meeting Tomorrow Town send Harmony club will hold its first regular Friday meeting at 8 p. m. tomorrow in the new Townsend hall, formerly known as Dreamland, on East Main street. The club has been meet ing on Tuesdays but, to con form to the new hall program. it has changed meeting nights to the first and third Fridays. Atlanta Satchwell, program chairman, said an excellent pro gram would be presented to morrow night. Refreshments will be served after the meeting.
