Mulholland, on Vancouver avenue with a de lightful bridge party. Invited to the affair were the Misses Jarvie Thompson, Mar jorie McNair, Jeanne Hamilton, Margaret Mary Mann, Janet Mann, Frances Arnspiger, Leona Conger, Ruth Ottoman, La Verne Stephenson, Helen Patton, Dorothy Gore, Con stance Moore, Marian Moore, Kathryn Ford, Betty Vllm and Mrs. Jack Sanderson. Supper followed the bridge play. Decorations were carried out in holiday motif. Hoppes' Leave for Rose Bowl Game Dr. and Mrs. Walt E. Hoppe left today by motorcar for southern California to vacation until the latter part of next week. i The local couple will visit briefly in San Francisco as the house guests of Mr. and Mrs. Allen Stanley. Phone 4S4 DE SOTO PLYMOUTH Myers Home Scene of Party Tuesday A farewell party honoring Douglas Lamb was held Tues day evening at the home of Miss Betty Myers on West Sec ond street. Those attending were the Misses Bettie Brown, Alice Allen, Meryl Dawes, Dolly Age, Beth Reed, Dorothy Wilder Josephine Mead and Betty Myers and the Messrs. Ralph Evans, Lester Wilcox Jr., Ken neth Raymond, J'jrry Nims, Donald Minear, lester Casad Monroe White, Robert Reming ton, Kenneth Thompson of Ash land, cousin of Miss Myers and Douglas Lamb, the honoree who left here yesterday for Bowling Green, Ohio, to Join his father. Games, stunts and refresh ments were enjoyed throughout the evening and Mr. Lamb was given handsome guts. Vale Couple Medtord Visitors Mr. and Mrs. Allen Rogers are spending some time in this city over the holidays. They are the house guests of Mr. Roger's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Rogers, at their home on Crater Lake avenue. They are also vis iting Mr. Rogers' sister, Miss Dorothy Rogers. The Rogers both teach school in Vale. Their marriage was an event of late last summer. Mr. Rogers formerly resided here with his parents and attended the local schools. Group Visits In Bay City Mr. and Mrs. Claud Saylor and Mrs. Sarah Aitken spent Christmas in San Francisco Mrs. Aitken was the house guest of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Cantrall. After a delightful dinner the bookkeepers and tellers staged a song contest, the winning team singing versus the stenog raphers. Charades followed with the two team leaders. Glen Thomas and Murray Marley conceding a tie score. Oris Crawford, assistant man ager of the bank, playing St. Nick, distributed Christmas gifts to all. The balance of the eve ning was spent in dancing. The Motel was decorated with fir and pine boughs, berries and a Christmas tree, making a very attractive setting for the pleas ant affair. M rs. Fiero Here For Brief Visit Mrs. Conro Fiero arrived in Medford last evening from Klamath Falls to spend the week-end visiting her mother. Mrs. Will Andrews, and her sis ter, Mrs. James Stevens, at their Cargill Court apartment. Mrs. Fiero will be among the out-of-town guests attending the Colony club party this evening In clubrooms on Geneva street. Mrs. Fiero Is one of the charter members of the Colony club, having lived here originally years ago. . Diamond Lake: Radio report this morning at 7:30 indicates cloudy skies, with wind south west strong. Temperature 39, minimum past 24 hours, 35 de grees. Snow depth only 2 inches, No new snow during the past week. Ice on lake breaking up. Muriel Hughes Visits Mother Miss Muriel Hughes Is among the college set vacationing here as the guest of her mother, Mrs. Lee Garlock. Miss Hughes is a co-ed at Oregon State college in Corvallis, this being her first year at the place of education. She lives in Waldo hall and is the room mate of Dorothea Olsen, also a Medford girl. . Methodist Group Meets Saturday The former South Methodist group cf women will meet at the home of Mrs. R. L. Taylor, 220'$ Laurel street, at 2 o'clock tomorrow for a social afternoon. All Women are asked to attend. Those who subscribed to the budget are asked to bring their contributions to Saturday's ses sion. Two Return From San Francisco Mrs. Lee Armstrong and Miss Margo Boyle, daughters of Mr. and Mrs. John C. Boyle, return ed by train this morning from San Francisco where they had visited since Monday. Crater Lake: Snow dept at Park Headquarters at 8 a.m. 34 inches, compared with 48 inches December 30, last year; 4V4 ipches new snow fell during past week. Snow described as wet heavy. Temperature 33: range past 24 hours, 33 to 31 degrees. Foggy; wind southwest light. South and West Entrance roads, as well as road from Park Headquarters to Rim open but slushy; chains advised. Highway 62 from Fort Klamath to South Entrance in good condition. There are the usual parking areas, warming and rest room facilities, at Park Headquarters, Annie Spring and Rim. Meals and short orders my be ob tained at Park Headquarters, but overnight accommodations for the week-end are all reserved. Mount Shasta Sierra Alpine Lodge: The Everett memorial highway to Sierra Alpine Lodge passable nearly to Sand Flat, but chains should be carried, Snow depth at the Alpine Lodge 54 inches, described as 48 inches normal pack topped with 6 inches powder which fell. Mount Lassen Sports Areas: Snow at Sulphur Works Check ing Station in the Lassen Vol canic National Park is reported this morning as in patches only, One inch fell December 28, fol lowed by rain. Road to Jones point 3 miles above Sulphur Works will be open this week end. Snow depth there 18 inches, described as soft wet. Chains advised. Skies clearing at Min eral, but foggy with light rain at Sulphur Works. No wind. Temperature 46; range past 24 hours 42 to 36. Manzanita Lake: No snow' at this area. Road in good condi tion but chains advised. No skat ing on Manzanita Lake.
