for Daniel L. Glenn, 95, last '
surviving member of Burnside :
post. Grand Army of the Re-,
public. The Rev. Melville T. !
Wire, pastor of the Methodist j
church, officiated. Burial took ;
place in the Ashland cemetery.
Mr. Glenn died in a hospita' '
here Sunday night a few days
after he had suffered a frae-1
hired hip in a fall. He had been
a resident of Ashland since 18S3 ',

old. When the Civil war broke
out, he enlisted with company

earned the rank of corporal. He
served in the Union army three
years, was wounded at Chicka-
mauga September 20, 1863. and

sisters. Mrs. H. M. Bear of Lvn
wood, Cal., Mrs. Myra Johnson
of Lodi, Cal., and Mrs. Belle
Bvfield of Tulsa. Okla., a niece.
Mrs.' H. J. Carter of Ashland,
two grandchildren and two
greatgrandchildren.
