Mr. and Mrs. Frank Ditsworth of Prospect spent the week-end with the latter's brother, Bert Harr, near Copper. Heunors Brothers of Jackson ville are engaged In baling 175 tons of hay at the former Klein hammer ranch on Little Apple gate. The hay, owned by the Ashland branch of the First Na tional bank in Portland, will be for sale after baling is completed, according to Fred West, foreman at the ranch. Miss Florence Weisner of Med ford, county health nurse, visit ed the Rtich-Sterllng and Little Applegate schools this week. Miss Weisner particularly in vestigated the epidemic of colds which has resulted in only a 25 per cent attendance at Little Applegate. Mr. and Mrs. Rolland Smith, costumed as negroes, captured first prize at the masquerade dance at Upper Applegate grange hall Saturday night. Second prize was awarded to Mrs. Osie Cantrall of Medford and Will Norris of Jacksonville, who rep resented cooks. A good crowd attended and many are looking forward to the next grange dance November 18. Mr. and Mrs. John O'Conner of near Central Point have teased the Johnson place: near the Reese Creek school house owned by Mrs. Fellows, for a period of years, and have moved here to make their home. Beebe family, whose home was destroyed by fire some time ago, was pleas antly surprised last Sunday afternoon when about 40 Cen tral Point Grange members, car rying cake and sandwiches, ar rived at the new home.
