Russell Acheson to the office of esteemed lecturing knight, at its regular meeting last evening. Vacancy In the office was caused by resignation of Dill F. Walker, who 1ms been transferred to California. Installation services for Acheson will be held Thurs day night, November 2nd, with Lewis Ulrich acting as installing officer. Wilson Wait, exalted ruler of the lodge, announced at last night's meeting that the annual Thanksgiving party would be held Thursday night, November 9 and that the annual Christmas tree party would be held Thurs day night, December 14. He in vited all Elks in the vicinity to attend the events, explaining that money raised as a result of the two affairs would be used to carry on charitable work of the lodge for the year, also to provide funds for Christmas bas kets of food for needy families of the community.
