(Spl) The gorgeous autumn coloring of the leaves and the equally gorgeous colors on the wild birds of the Wonderland court have been the lure that has attracted thousands to the Shasta-Cascade exhibit during the closing days of the fair. One of the melancholy aspects of the autumn surroundings, how ever, was the absence of the Wonderlnnd ranger who has es corted some 5,000 persons on daily tours through the exhibit, Lee B. Johnson, U. S. forest ranper, who has been with the exhibit all summer having checked out Sunday night and left for a two weeks vacation before reporting back to the Angeles forest.
