Firat Methodist Sunday School To Mark Rally Day The Sunday school of the First Methodlat church will meet 10 min ute early Sunday, assembling In the church aanctuary promptly at 8:30 a. m. for the rally and promotion day nrclsee. The Aunday school hab at a goal of 600 attendance for this occasion. "Come and be one of five - hundred,' Is the slogan. A suitable program has been prepared. This Is a great event with the boys and girls, as a large number are pro moted from one department to an other, and all are promoted from one class to another. Parents are par ticularly urged to attend. The church service Is also a rally ervtoe, the pastor preaching on the theme, "Rallying fiO-flO With Ood."! The choir, under direction of Mrs, Kate Carlton Strang, has arranged acme very fine special music. Evening service. In Wesley chapel, will conclude the rally day services. Mengoz told city polios that a stranger called him over to his car last night and offered him a drink of whiskey In a glass. When he re fused the offer, Mengoz reported to police, the man threw the whiskey at him. Then. Mengoz related, the man reached out and wiped off his (Men goz') necktie. In the operation re- moving the stickpin and the pocket- dook, wnich was in Mengoz' coat pocket. The man then drove away In his car.
