Walter Redford of Ashland gave a competent review of "The Hudson", one of a series of twenty four books on the rivers of America. Thle book, written by Carl earner. deals principally with the people dwelling In the adjacent Hudson vsl- ley. It Is a study of the social, no- lltlcal and economlo history of this region. Response to roll call was made by each member giving a highlight of her summer vacation. In continuing the study of South America, which the club Is following this year. Mrs. Prank Hagerty read a paper on Uruguay and Paraguay, tell ing much of Interest about those countries. Mrs. Ray Wllfley gave a book report on "Brazilian Adventure" by Peter Fleming a true account of a search ing party from England who attempt ed to learn the fate of Col. Faucet and party who disappeared In the Interior of Brazil In 1928. The party failed In Its mission, but much was learned of the country of Brazil.
