The Sunday school board met Tuesday night and planned an ag gressive program. A larger attend ance tnan usual la expected at sun day school this 8unday. The official board also met Tues day evening and voted unanimously to hold union services Sunday eve nings with the South Methodist church, using the two church edi fices alternately. This Sunday eve ning the union service will be held In the First Methodist church, Epworth league of South Metho dist church will be guests of the Epworth league of the First Metho dist church. A great meeting for the young people la being planned. The pot-luck supper given by the two churches Wednesday evening waa a great success and was attended by a larger crowd than was expected. A rousing prayer meeting led by Dr. Bray following "the supper hour proved very Inspirational to the large group attending. It also revealed work on the Aber nathy bridge-Tenth street section of the super highway at Oregon City would be advertised next summer. About 130,000 has been appropriated for work on a Benton county section of the Klnga valley secondary road. ASHLAND PASSES ASHLAND, Nov. 18 (ApU Mrs Fannie Ellen Keller, long time Ash land resident, died Thursday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Faye Pot ter. Mrs. Keller was born July 1. 1870, at Manhattan, Kan. She came to Oregon when she was three years old, first going to San Francisco by emigrant train and from there to Portland by boat, making her home at Damascus, Oregon. In 1894 she was married to A. C. Keller. They came to Ashland 38 years ago Mr. Keller Is deceased. The deceased was a member of the Baptist church,, the Women of the Woodcraft and an active member of the D. A, R. She la survived bv her thren chll- dren. Mrs. Fave Potter of Ashland Robert J. Keller, of Oakland, Calif., ana Mrs O. A. Selby of El Paso, Texas. Nov. 18 fAP) William Green, president, called on the American Federation of Labor to day to "redouble efforts' to make ef fective the federation's five-year-old boycott against Oerman goods and service. He asked this aa evidence of the federation's opposition to the treat ment of Jews in Germany. Green sent a letter to all AFL af filiates, saying the United States la boring man should make his resent ment known, "in a vital and striking way." "It la not enough to protest," he declared.
