(AP) The flve y ear-old son of Clarence Mace held to a thin edge of ltfe last night as medical science, handicapped by lack of facilities, fought to over come the Inroads of spinal menin gitis. Artificial respiration was used to keep the boy breathing from 10:30 a.m. yesterday until a pulmotor ar rived from Ontario late at night. Drs. W. O Horns u and Oeorgo Cash, Mrs. D. W. Harvey, nurse, and Rev. Vincent Egan took turns wearily pro viding the muscular effort needed to breath. SEN. McNARY INSPECTS FEDERAL FAIR EXHIBIT SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. 17. (AP) Senator Charles L.
