Wolcott, a Democrat, was appointed deputy attorney general of Delaware In 1909. Four years later he was elected attorney general. They PICK COMMITTEES FOR FLYING CLUB AT FIRST SESSION Crater Flying Club Incorporated, conceived as a non-profit organisa tion, held Its first regular meeting Wednesday evening In the Hotel Jackson. A committee on rules, edu cation and entertainment was ap pointed. The flying club has been In oper ation for the past two months, dur ing which time 163 hours have been flown over Medford and vicinity by the members, who are pilots form erly holding department of air com merce private pilot licenses. Licensed pilots are Silas King, Lee Smith Denton Clark, Max Pelroe and Com mander B. Peyton. Seven new members have learned to fly since the club's Inception. They are Miss Lorena Rose, the first member to solo In this group, BUI Wheeler, Joe Mendrala, L, Stenerson, Leo Taylor, Bob Forbes and Edward Tepper. Students In the process of learning to fly Include O. H. Bengtson, Jerry Boshears, Del Marshall, Florence Smith, Al Coke. Doyle Franklin, Ray Knlps, Loleta Plerson, Leon Cum' mlngs, Robert Bradbury, Dtck Baize and Ruth Hill. A. F. Arne Is the Instructor. The club has purchased a new de luxe Cup plane equipped with AO horsepower motor, a new develop ment of this year, which Is used for Instruction and flying by the club members. Lost Elk Hunter Found By Mates PENDLETON, Ore.. Nov. 11. (AP) John J. Shenmnfl of Portland, member of a trucking firm, was found by his campmates in the Blue mountains after being lost for 93 hours In the Senate Flat lake area seven miles south of Kamela. Sheaman was a member of an elk hunting party and became separated from his companions. Without am munition he kept moving until his companions found him none the worse for hi experience. Nov. 11 (AP) Undefeat ed and untied Salem, a claimant of last season's Oregon high school foot ball title, fell before the Eugene Ax- men, 12 to 6, here last night. The defeat broke the Vikings string of IB, consecutive victories. Salem led when Don Waller raced 65 yearda to score In the second per iod. A fumble In the second period and an interception In the third set Eugene up for the victory-winning touchdowns. With the decisive trouncing last ntght of Salem by Eugenes Axmen, the mythical state championship stock of Medford high's Black Tor nado skyrocketed to the point where now, only the Tigers and McLoughUn high of MUton-Freewater are unde feated In the state outside of Port land. Medford, meeting Weed. Cal., to day and with Grants Pass and Ash land remaining on the schedule, gained tremendous prestige when Eu gene whacked Salem, unbeaten In 16 consecutive games. The Black Tor nado last Friday night walloped Eu gene, 26 to 19. Mac high Is clashing with Pendle ton today, and Is expected to win easily. In case they should lose, how ever, and Medford beat Grants Pass and Ashland, the Tigers will be the team in the state. Coach BUI Bowerman of the Tor nado was noncommltal today regard ing the possibility of a post-season game between Medford and possibly Mac high, In case Medford continues unbeaten. He stated It was time enough to start thinking about that when the Tigers hurdled Ashland and Grants Pass, If they did. However, I he stated that such a game was not an Impossibility.
