Girls Apprehended Two 18-year- old girls from Yreka, Oal., Louise Jordan and Goldle Rupe, were to be returned to Yerka today by the Sis kiyou county sheriff's office follow ing their apprehension by state po lice last night on the Pacific high way near Rogue River. The girls were hitch-hiking north, state police said. Siskiyou county authorities reported to state police that the girls were wards of the Juvenile court there. Hunter Fined Thomas L. Edsall of 316 Washington street was fined (25 and $4.50 costs by Judge William R. Coleman in justice of the peace court yesterday afternoon on a charge of having a fawn deer in his pos session. Re was given until No vember X to pay. The charge was filed by state police following the tragic hunt last Friday in which Homer Scholar, Klamath Junction rancher, was accidentally shot and killed by Mr. Edsall. Mr. Edsall pleaded guilty to the possession charge Monday and passing of sen tence was deferred until yesterday. -a Age. Vibert, 46, executive of the federal housing ad ministration, but testified "X turned my head" when blows were struck. Miss Fields said she and Vibert went ta dinner laafc August 13, and met three men upon entering the hotel lobby. She identified them ae Thomas White, 34, and Archie An drews, 25, charged with manslaugh ter, and Thomas Smith, a book keeper. They went to Vibertfa hotel room, she said, and then the men got into an argument over "who's drinking whose liquor." She said she saw White bit Vibert on the jaw witr his open hand, and then Andrews struck him on the chest and stomach. Then she said she turned her head. A free-for-all fight followed in which Smith also was floored, the witness added, and when It was over Vibert lay dead on the floor.
