Engine stolen A twin cylinder gasoline engine valued at (56.25 was stolen from the Medford Maytag com pany ehop at 31 North Bartlett street sometime since September 18, ot was reported to city police yesterday by M. V. Younger, manager. Mr. Younger told police a one-quarter horsepower electric motor was also stolen from the shop. The manager had been absent from the shop for several weeks and discovered the thefts when he returned, he explained to author ities. Sentence Suspended Six months suspended sentence was Imposed by Judge William R. Coleman In Justice of the pence court yesterday after noon upon George B. Hughes, 53, of 818 Summit avenue on a charge of possessing improperly tagged deer meat. tHihes was required to pay the court costs of $4.50. He was ac cused of possessing a deer attached to which was . a hunter's tag that had not been punched as required by law. The complaint was filed by state police who stopped him near Pour Corners In a routine check when he was returning from a hunt Sunday night. Hughes was quoted as saying that It was growing dark when he got the deer, that he could not see the tag plainly and that he thought if he was stopped by police they would be obliging enough to punch the tag for him.
