Catherine Conroy and Josephine Bull Is. Miss Roberts was accompanied to Eugene by her mother, Mrs. Fred Hahn. Miss Conroy and Miss Bullls were motored to the campus by the latter's father, Mr. Seth Bullls. The young ladles are all entering their first year at the college. Upon their arrival they will be housed In dormitories and rushed by sororities for the next four days. Following their pledging they will move directly into their respective sorority homes for the school year. Leaving tomorrow by motor for the north will be Miss Nancy Clark, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Don Clark. She will enter her sophomore year at Reed College In Portland. Mr. Clark will accompany his daughter to Portland. Antelope Club v Meeting Changed ANTELOPE, Sept. 16. (Spl.) The Ladles' Social club will meet Tues day, September 20, at the home of Mrs. Floyd Horner, instead of on Wednesday, as originally planned. All members are asked to remember the date. Miss Grey will become the bride of Mr. Stokes the latter part of next month. Guests at the affair included. Miss Gray and Mr. Stokes are both well known In this city as well as in the valley. Two Return From Missionary Meet Mil May Phlpps and Mrs. RlUy D. Henson have returned to their re pectlve homes from Cottage Orove wnero they attended the annual Cas cade district missionary convention. Miss Phlpps Is the district corres ponding secretary. Mrs, Henson has the distinction1 of having been the district recording secretary for the past 19 years. Miss Phlpps will attend the branch missionary convention meeting In Boise, Idaho, October 0 to 0th inclusive. Zonta Club Forms Interesting Plans The Mcdford chapter of Zonta, in ternatlonal service club of executive women, held the opening meeting of the year In their club rooms on Mon day evening. The session was well at tended. Committees for the year were or ganized and reported tentative plans. The club elected Margaret Fabrlck as- a delegate to the Zonta district convention to be held at Spokane, Wash., September 24 to 36th. An exceptional program for the year was outlined, one of the out' standing features of which Is to be a series of lectures, proposed by the international relations committee on the economic and racial background of political conditions In central Eu rope. Moving" pictures of the Internation al convention held In June at Banff, Alberta, Canada, wore enjoyed by the group. Plans were also formulated for combined .Initiation and birthday party to take place October 10. Rotary Women To Have Tea There will be no meeting of Wo men of Rotary next Wednesday as pel scheduled. The first Wednesday In October, however, there will be an informal tea for Women of Rotary given at the home of Mrs. Ernest R. a It strap, 36 Geneva street. Hostesses will be past and present officers of the organization. AAUW Luncheon Next Saturday Because of conflicting social en gagements pending for tomorrow, thi American Association of University Women will not meet as previously announced. The meeting, a luncheon session at the Hotel Holland, will be held next Saturday, September 24 Instead of tomorrow. Mrs. Justin Smith, pres ident of A. A. U. W. will preside at the affair and plans will be formula ted for the year's work. Piano Recital to Be Wednesday An Interesting program will be pre sented at the Baldwin Piano shoppe Wednesday evening at 8 o'clock hy three of Mrs. Lois Young's piano stu dents. They are Dorothy Young, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Young of Eagle Point, Elolse Peyton daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. E. Pey ton of this city and Helen Young, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. E. Young, Medford. The three pupils are all Just twelve years of age and possess outstanding talent and exceptional ability for their age. The program for the evening will consist of favorite numbers from Chopin, Orleg, Paderewskl, and other masters. Assisting on the program will be Verlyn Thomas, violin pupil of Mr. John R. Knight, who Is also well known for his accomplishment as a young violinist. The public Is Invited to attend the recital.
