The Oregon law provides for pay ment of an amount equal to the dif ference between a worker's weekly benefit amount and five-sixths of his wages from partial employment. He la considered partially employed If his remuneration for any week is leas than five-sixths of the weekly bene fit amount he would be entitled to receive 11 totally unemployed and eli gible. Workers earning $18 or more au tomatically would be ineligible for unemployed compensation Inasmuch aa this amount la six-fifths -of the maximum benefit amount. Inquiries received at the central office Indicate more unfamlliarlty with the law's provisions for partial benefits than with most features of the Job Insurance setup. This has been found true in other states, too, press releases indicate, and some la bor unions have adopted plans to make the partial benefits formula to their members. G. 0.
