Hints for Housewives To remove mustard stain from washable fabrics merely wash the stained area In warm water and mild soap suds. Stains may be removed from non-washable fabrics by rub blng them gently as sopn as possible with warm glycerine applied with a small sponge or cloth. Mint gelatin mold topped with salad dressing or mayonnaise makes a tasty accompaniment for lamb, hot or cold. Make a regular mint gelatin, then when it Is cool, add some sliced cucumbers, diced celery and minced green peppers or plmlentcs. Allow peaches, pears, apricots or plums to ripen at room temperature. Then store them, uncovered in a shallow tray or metal container In the refrigerator. Don't crowd the fruits. That's likely to bruise or soften them, causing quick decay. Here's a simple way to wash win dows. Dip a chamois skin Into hot water and wring it quite dry. Rub It over the window quickly. Walt sev eral minutes, then wipe the window with a clean, soft chamois skin. Starch slip covers a little when you launder them. That will make them a little more glossy and give them more body. They'll keep clean longer. Never use bluing on colored or flow ered slip covers. Orated raw carrots give cabbage salad added color and flavor. Minced jreen peppers or plmlentos will do the ssme for creamed potatoes, tur nips, cauliflower, lima beans or corn. The California Oregon Power Company EHYkES Apostolic Faith Work Progresses In Medford Field (Contributed) The Apostolic Faith, at Central avenue and Third, are entering Into their fall and winter campaign with real earnestness, snd every eifort will be put forth to evangelise the Rogue river valley. Since the organization went Into their new building last spring, there has been a marked in crease in attendance, and numbers have been converted. During the midsummer weeks, scores of Medford folk connected with the Medford branch attended the camp meeting In Portland which was reported to be the largest and most successful In the history of the work. At this time a transfer of leaders is being made. Rev. D. L. Myers and Rev. George Seeley, who have beeu , In charge of the Medford work for a number of years, are moving with their families, to Portland, to he at the headquarters. Rev. C. W. Frost, assisted by Rev. Edna L Damron. will be in charge of the work In Medford. Reverend Frost haa been connect ed with the southern Oregon work, at Medford and at Klatnath Palls, more or less since its opening here, and is well known in the Rogue river valley, he himself having been con verted In this d 1st lrc t. The Rev. Mrs Damron has labored extensively In the Apostolic Faith work for thirty years, and though new to Medford, Is not. a stranger to most of the peo ple who worship at Centrsl and Third. Also workers from Portland will oc casionally be down over week-ends to assist In the meetings. The Hammond electron, the 28 plece orchestra, and the 15-voice cho rus, which furnish the music for this progressive church, will give a sarced concert at the beginning of the Sunday evening meeting, and have part In each of the services.
