PAOE TWO fEDFORD MAIL TRIBUNE, MEDFORD, OREGON, MOXDAY, AUGUST 15, 1938. Belcastro, Kenaston Teamed Against McDonald, Smolinski Tonight MARINE IS GIVEN CRATERS COLLECT 17 IS TO 001 MEDFORD PILOTS IN REGAHA AT SALEM Polish Palooka Poses Seabiscuit Wins Match Race by Head I0UGH HELPER IN Gold Hill Pride Expected Get Revenge On Unbeaten Pair if Matf Italian Stays On .Proper Side With a highly capable and colorful partner la Pete Belcastro, the Mad Italian of Weed, Cai., sgt. bod Kenas ton of Gold Hill takes hla third shot at the unbeaten wrestling team 6ockeye Jack McDonald and Joe Brno. llnski tonight In the Modford armory, In his two previous attempts to wallop the McDonald-Smollnskl tan dera, Kenaston has wound up behind the eight ball. But tonight, with the lugging, crafty and villainous Bel castro as his partner. Gold Hill's fa vorite citizen figures to either have a good, big lost laugh or come so close It wan t be funny to the husky and brutal duo. The mat program, believed by Pro moter Mock Hilar d to be the bent he has lined up this season, starts at 8:30 sharp in the armory. For the pa.it three weeks tho grunt and groaners have performed at the open- air high school arena, but move back under cover tonight because of cold sights. Opening the grapple fiesta will be Bobby Chick, ex-llght heavyweight champion of tho world and Benny Wilson, drop kick specialist from Tox as, They will clash In an Australian yfltem match consisting of six 10 minute rounds or the best two out of three falls. This Is expected to de velop Into . sparkling exhibition of wrestling as it was originally de signed. Both are clean and scientific Feature attraction on tho program the team battle, will progress until one outfit obtains four falls, or un til the hour time-limit halts pro ceedings. In the only two othe like squabbles held here, the thing lasted far short of the tlme-llmlt, and tonight's shindig Is expected to be no exception. With four huge grapplers In the ring at the some time, bent on destroying each other at the earliest possible moment, there Is little likelihood of any surviving an hour. Although Kenaston, thirsting for revenge, Is overjoyed at the prospect of at least being assigned a partner who can Btay In there and dish out the dirt along with McDonald and Smolinski, many local fans are won deiing whether Sgt. Bob will be so happy once the bout gets under way. They admit that Belcastro could be an excellent partner for Kenaston tf he wished, but they are rather du bious regarding whether Pete will wish or not. Belcastro baa the reputation of disliking all other wrestlers, and whother he will condescend to work In harmony with Kenaston Is a mat ter of grave conjecture among the Oold HUler's friends. It wouldn't sur prise them a bit If Pete, In the heat of battle, reverted to type and wen; plumb looney, slashing out at any foreign object that come within his reach and taking round-house punch s at his own partner In crime. If such a situation occurs, Bob's friends point out, Kenaston will again be ot a disadvantage. However, they are hoping for the best and praying that Pete docsnt decide to dobule-cross anybody.
