FISHING IS MALM'S Last Day of Mann' IN FOREST AREAS; Page fourteen FIRE CARE URGED The following recreational bulletin wu Issued today by Rogue River na tional forest headquarters: "Fishing has been good In the south fork of the Little Butte creek near Dead Indian Soda Springs. Best luck has came by using grasshoppers on the riffles. "Oood catches of rainbow have been taken during the week at Rocky Point on Klamath lake with all kinds of plugs and with Andy Reekers. Pish have been running from three to 13 pounds. Lake O Woda reoorta good catches of perch and catflah, though few bass or eflversldes. The baas are at 111 spawning. Bass and catflshlng Is Improving at Hyatt lake as the water becomes lower. "Fou rra lie lake. Fish lake, and the Sky lakes report only fair fishing. Note that the season at Fish lako closes August 15. In the Seven Lakes basin, good fishing Is reported In Qress lake with Bucktall flies and spinners, while It la only fair In Mid dle lake and Cliff lake. Oood catches have been token from Mud lake In the Blue canyou on Bucktall Caddis flies. "Limit catches have been made In the middle fork of the Rogue river with flies and single eggs. Fishing is fair In the upper Rogue river, Mulr oreek and Foster creek with some good catches being taken by small pinners, eggs and files. ' The huckleberries still have not reached their prime. In the vicinity of Gypsy Springs and Round lake In the Butte Falls district they should be ripe about the 30th of thla month. In the Huckleberry mountain ares, they should reach their peak In an other week, The pickers have already taken up to three gallon per person boforo noon. "Because the huckleberry and hunt ing season will bring numbers of visitors to the forest, great care is requested with the use of fire. The public cooperation fJre record la con sidered excellent In the Med ford and adjacent areas. Not only have very few fires been man-caused, but al most an equal number have been re ported to rangers or put out by forest visitors.
