Eagle Point Grange had good at
tendance at the last meeting, with
visitors present from many subor
dinate Granges of the county
Committee reports were interest
ing and the lecture hour program
was especially fine. The Grange band
played two numbers, a duet hy Mary
Harnlsh and Barbara Smith, two
tenor solos by Bert Moore, a couple
of Irish songs by Jack Barr, both of
Medford.
An Interesting and Informative talk
was given by Dean Schoenfeldt of
O.S.C., on the mission of the agri
cultural college and subsidiaries, vari
ous college extension and experiment
units, and present day local and na
tlonal agricultural problems.
It was Indeed a pleasure to have
the dean with us and we feel deeply
appreciative to our lecturer for her

from which one enters a commodious
anteroom, and two rest-rooms. A
drinking fountain la Installed In the
front hall. City water Is on tap
throughout the building.
Basement will house kitchen, din
ing room and Juvenile Grange hall,
and both front and rear entrances.
The kitchen has running water, large
sink and hot water tank. Trie fine
dratnboard and the material for the
dining tables was donated by Holly
Swingle, ..
It Is expected that the large
grounds surrounding the hall will be
landscaped and planted during the
next year, thus furnishing a proper
"setting for the hall.
Refreshments were served at the
lost meeting by Mr. and Mrs. Wm
Holman and Mr. and Mrs. Paul Force.
For the next meeting the ladles
attending are requested to orlng a
sack lunch tor two, which will be
sold to the men for a dime Every
dime helps to cover the cost of new
fixtures,

Leat meeting of Pomona Orange
held at Upper Applegate Orange hall,
July 23, and which should have been
reported before, waa very well attend
ed considering tha busy time of the
year.
Fifteen Orangea in tha county were
represented. Many commented on the
fine hall of Upper Applegate Orange,
which Is log built, stockade fashion,
rustic finish throughout, with oom
modlous stage, dining room and kit
chen, the building fitting pictur
esquely Into Its woodland surround
ings. Agricultural commlttM report by
W. Howes, explained need of a co-op
cannery and better marketing con
dition. The committee on education and
the committee on good of the order
gave Interesting reports. Report of
legislative committee by Perry Walt
waa enlightening and Interesting, as
waa the report of the county deputy,
R. E. Nealon.
Reports of atate session were given
by Delegates Roacoe Roberta and wife,
and were most Interesting.
Lecturer's program opened with
group singing led by Doris Nealon,
followed by a reading by R. E. Nealon,
followed by stunts by ladles from tha
various Oranges: a skit, "The Ladles'
Aid Scandal," by ladlea of Talent
Orange: Inspirational readlnga by
Bertha Hasklna ot Upper Applegate
Orange, and vocal duet with guitar
accompaniment by Clam Smith and
Oladys Byrne.
A wonderful dinner waa aerved to
the hungry Orangers by Upper Ap
plegate group, Ice cream and Ice cold
pop being eapeclally welcome on tha
very warm day.
A hearty vote of thanks waa tender
ed the Upper Aplegete group for
their fine hoapltallty.

A special meeting of Pomona Orange
haa been called by tha maatcr Roa
coe Roberts, to be held at the Upper
Applegate Qrane hall on August 13
at 8 p. m., for tha purpose of con
ferring the Pomona degree.
The degree team will practice at
