The pre-fabrlcated structures, man ufactured by American Builders In Seattle, under contract, began arriv ing yesterday. Two carloads arrived here and were shuttled to the oamp site over the Medford Corporation rslliray. Unloading was underway to day. Three more carloads are on the way and two additional are yef to be shipped, making a total of seven osrloads In all.- Meet Standard. The pre-fabrlcated buildings meet the standards set by the army quartermaster-general's office In Wash ington. D. C CCC headquarters here said. The new buildings are port able. The portable buildings to be erect ed Include four barracks, officers' quarters, forestry or technlcsl stsff quarters and Infirmary. Forestry Camp. The South Fork camp Is situated out of Butte Falls on what was once known at camp 3 of the old Owen-Oregon Lumber company, pre decessor to the Medford Corporation The old logging cabins were bought from the company when the camp was established In 1933. Th cabins have now deteriorated to the point where replacements are . necessary, CCC headquarters explained. In 1934 new buildings were added to the camp. Including a mess hall and recreational building, and these will be retained as an Integral part of the Improved camp. The camp Is part of the Rogue River national forest set-up. O. Henry, best , known for his stories of New York, was born In North Carolina, and spent his early life In the south and southwest. Mix one oup of dressing with the reet of the ingredients, combined. Chill. Stuffed Bfgs IS hard-oooked ecrgs 4 tablespoons salad dressing 14 teaspoon salt 4 teaspoon pepper teaspoon oelery salt 3 tablespoons chill sauc Cut eggs In half, lengthwise. Re move and mash yolks with a fork. Add rest of Ingredients to yolks. Refill egg whites. Chill. Spice Cake 1-$ cup fat 114 eups dark brown sugar 3 eggs, beaten 3 teaspoons cinnamon 1 teaspoon cloves teaspon nufmejr teaspoon salt I teaspoon vanilla 1 oup sour cream ' 2 cups flour 1 teaspoon soda teaspoon baking powder Cream fat and sugar. Add eggs and beat well. Add rest of Ingredients and beat for three minutes. Half-fill layer cake pans which have been lined with waxed paper. Bake. Cool. Frost. penoche Nut Frosting 1 oup dark brown sugar 1 cup granulated sugar 3 tablespoons butter 1 oup cold water 1 teaspoon vanilla cup toasted pecans, broken Boll gently, stirring frequently, sugars, butter and water. When a soft ball forms as a portion Is tested In a cup of cold water, remove the frosting from the heat. Add vanilla and pecans. Let stand for 30 minutes. PITERS PICNIC SET FOR SUNDAY Arrangements were completed to day for the Annual get-together pie nlo to be held Sunday at the Ump qua national forest campground at Diamond lake by the typographical unions of Medford and Klamath Palis. The unions of these two cities will be hosts to tile union at Bend. Employes of other depsrtments of the newspapers and Job plants of the three cities have been Invited to attend as guests of the unions and a large attendance Is anticipated. Each family la to provide Its own basket lunch but the host unions will furnish coffee, sugar, cream, soft drinks, beer and Ice cream. . A program of games and contests will be held for cuildren. rth prises for the winners. The union members will confine their athletic endeavors to a soft-ball game. COLLEGE IS GOAL OF MOTHER AT 53 ANNA. m. (UP) Mrs. Mable Keith Lesar. 18, a "widow and the mother of three sons, who was graduated from the Anna high school In May. will be a freshman this September st the University of Illinois. Just 33 years ago. Mrs. Lesar plan ned to graduate from high school In Anna, which is In Union county. Illness and hardships prevented. Now, sfter a struggle lsstlng three decades, during which she lost her husband In the 1918 Influenza epldmlc and found herself with three sons, a heavily mortgaged home and no means of suport, she hss realized her girl hood ambition. Mrs. Lesar'a three sons all have completed high school. Two of them are graduates of the University of Illinois and the third la a student there. One of the graduates la an assistant professor at the University of Kansas. One Fatality. SALEM. July 8.
