men out the bicycle tires, the con
fession set forth.
"I developed the Idea that the
only way to deal with him (Frlesen)
was to put him cut of business and
destroy his plant."
Under cross-examination Banks
explained lie made this statement
because he was told not to Implicate
anyone else.
"That whole story waa milled over
In my mind for several hours, for
the purpose of exonersttng everyone
but myself." he said. "I had been
told not to talk. I thought I would
take the blame because I had been
Identified as the fellow -vho paid

over 1300 had been charged to the
organisation but he did not know
for what purpose. When be asked
Banks about it, Banka told him that
It woa "for the benefit of the boys,'
he declared.
Upon cross examination Reynolds
dented that he hod ever talked to
Rosser about the way Banks handled
affairs but a fsw minutes later said:
Banks Judgment Poor
t told Mr. Rosser that Banks did
not know u.e value of money or bow
to handle money." This was shortly
alter the fire and he again asksd
Rosser to be relieved at ence, he said.
Banks woa then promoted from
business agent and took over the

FORCED LIQUIDATION BY IMMEDIATE
A-C-T-I-O-N 144 CARS RELEASED
Seldom, If ever, have the people of this community had the unusual opportunity to participate in such
a calamity of circumstances. This tragic situation has been brought about by unavoidable measures of
too personal a nature to be published; however these TREMENDOUS PRICE REDUCTIONS should
prove to you the seriousness of this situation by studying the price reductions on each car, and the
long, easy terms to fit any one's budget as outlined below, Any one can read between the lines and
know that such sacrifices can only be made under dire financial stress. As LIQUIDATOR IN CHARGE
my feelings in this situation are purely impersonal. My job here is to liquidate this beautiful stock of
automobiles regardless of financial losses to the sponsor of this PUBLIC BANK SALE. There is only
one way for me to do this quickly as demanded by my appointee; give big price reductions, very,
very liberal trade-in allowances to make the necessary down payment (your present car need not be
all paid for) and special long, easy terms as outlined below for this PUBLIC BANK SALE EVENT.
Select your car from this list by marking X opposite the car of your choice. Come early to avoid disap
pointment, and if you do not have all the money handy, come anyway. A small deposit will bold any of
these cars. Let us quote you a deal that will astound you. So come prepared to buy. This PUBLIC
BANK SALE is strictly forced liquidation and every car must be sold. All spectators welcomed with
out the least obligation.
