Another tragedy visited Rogue River Monday afternoon when Mrs. Eu gene Stevens, aged about 25, was killed when the logging truck which her husband was driving failed to make the Evans creek bridge and went into Evans creek. Mrs. Stevens was Miss La Verne Hall and attended high school here and has many friends who will mourn her .death. She is survived by her husband, one bister In Medford, and her par ents and two brothers, who are liv ing in Washington. June 13, Mrs. Elmer Milton and small son met with an accident while returning from Medford. To keep from hitting another car Mrs. Milton was forced into a ditch. She received a badly cut knee and other bruises and Ralph received a . bad cut on the cheek. 1 Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Smith return ed last week from a motor trip Into Montana where Mr. Smith visited i his mother and they visited other relatives. They were gone nearly i three weeks. What came near being a real fire occurred at the Clem Freed hsme Saturday night when the ceiling of a bed room caught fire and burned the room quite badly. Defective wir ing caused the blaze.
