Mr. Held told police he swerved
sharply to the left side of the high

THE DAI-LBS, June 34. (AP)
Delegates to the 86th Oregon Meth
odist Episcopal church conference
paid homage yesterday to Jason Lee,
pioneer Methodist missionary, on
the 100th anniversary of his first
sermon to Indians at Pulpit Rock.
The delegates were warned by Dr.
TJ. O. Dubach. dean of men at Ore
gon State college, that the church
should return to the philosophy of
Lee. as expressed in his words: T
4 see what God wants donfriend I'll
do it at no matter what cost."
Dubach rebuked the national ad
ministration for paying the farmer
to plow under crops snd kill live
stock when countless thousands
needed food.
