Drunks to Work Bufford Child ers, 31. of Talent and Nye Matthews, 30, of Eagle Point were each fined $10 In city court .this morning on charges of drunkenness. Unable to pay their fines, the men will be put to work on city streets to square the assessments. City Judge Allen D Curry stated. They were arrested by city police laat night at a local boer parlor. Six of the road oiling crew are boarding with Mrs. Roy Smith. Mra. Lizzie Perry. Mrs. Ruby Young. Mrs. Ethel Coy, Mrs. Jack Grow. Mrs. Scott Boyer, Mrs. Stella Haley and Mrs. Beryl Hickson spent Thursday at the home of Mrs. Mabel Harnish, It being Mrs. Harnish 'a birthday. She received several nice gifts. Miss Margie Nichols, Miss Helen Jamison and Mrs. Eva Nichols drove to Ran chert a last Wednesday and spent the day with Mrs. Frank Far- low. Mrs. M. Barr returned to Eagle Point last Tuesday from a month's stay at Col lfornla-on-the-Rogue.
