Friday Evening
Recital Delights
Large Audience
Outstanding In style and aooom
pltahment waa the recital, Friday
evening, June 3d, at which Roberta
Ward Bebb presented a group of her
piano and voice pupils, at the Bald
win Recital Hall.
The range of the program waa wide
and varied. Music by Bach, Beethov

while the names of Grainger, Mana
Zucca and Campbell-Tipton signal
ized the present.
The performers played with a tech
nical surety and attention to details
of phrasing and expression, which re
flected great credit on pupil and
teacher alike. The well selected songs
were delightfully offered, with clarity
of diction and a surprising sense of
interpretation.
The two piano numbers were per
formed with excellent coordination.
Explanatory remarks descriptive of
the pieces played and sung added
greatly to the Interest of the com
positions. A capacity and hospitable audience
received the students' Interpretations
with warm applause.
In appreciation for her untiring
efforts, little Nancy Lageson and
Mary Virginia Walt presented Mrs.
Bebb with a large basket of beautiful
