To Attend Dinner About 50 mem bers of the Jackson County Chamber of Commerce are expected to attend the chickep dinner to be given by the Ladles' Civic club In the Central Point Grange hall at 6:30 p. m. tomorrow. The general public Is Invited, fellow ship being the object of the dinner. Tickets may be procured at the cham ber of commerce. Rites Tomorrow Funeral services for Leon G. Dunn will be held at Klamath Falls at 10 a. m. tomorrow In the Ward chapel. Interment will take place In the Mountain View cem etery, Ashland. Mr. Dunn. 86 years old and a veteran Southern Pacific brakeman, committed suicide in his Klamath Falls home Monday, accord ing to the findings of Coroner George Adler. He formerly resided in Ash land. , Planning Meeting About 50 cham ber of commerce representatives are expected to attend the planning dinner-meeting in the Hotel Medford at 6:30 this evening. Sponsored by the tourist and roads and highways com mittees of the Jackson County Cham ber of Commerce, the meeting will make plans to accelerate highway de velopment and to Increase tourist travel In southern Oregon. Repre sentatives will attend from the cham bers of commerce In Grants Pass. Ashland, Roseburg and Yreka, Cal. New Medford Officer Captain Lee M. Bown announced today that Ray mond L. Harris had been assigned to the game division of the state police in the Medford district and would operate from this office during the summer months. Harris was formerly employed by the Umpqua national forest and has been a member of the Oregon state police force for sev eral months. With his wife and fam ily, he has taken residence here and will start work immediately. Elected to Office The Rev. Henry W. Anderson. Medford CCO district chaplain who has been attending the national convention of the Chaplains association, U. 8. army, in Washing ton, D. C, has been elected vice president of the national association representing the ninth corps area group, according to word received here. Mrs. Anderson accompanied the chaplain on the trip and they are returning via Tennessee, Ohio, Illi nois and Wisconsin, and expect to be back about June 9. They are attending the northern Baptist con vention in Milwaukee, Wlawthla week. 20-30 NOMINATES NEW OFFICERS IN Nominations of officers for the ensuing year were made st the regu lar weekly dinner-meeting of the Medford 30-80 club In the Hotel Jackson last night, with Neville Blden being the lone nominee for the presidency. For vice-president, Merrltt Kittle and El Colver were nominated and for sergeant-at-arms, BUI Meyers and Franklin George were named. Four of the following win be elected to the board of directors: Harold WalL Andy Anderson. Fred Schmidt, Harry Plnneo. Jack Hartley, Gene Monaco, Bill Cunningham and Mur ray Gardiner. Election will be held at the June 6meetlng. It was announced that Ralph "Sleepy" Lay ton of Sacramento, president of the 20-30 club associa tion, will attend the annual state convention to be held In Medford June 11.
