France's Mediterranean fleet today concentrated off Blzerta, naval base of French Tunisia, which adjoins Italian Libya, amid European tension over suspension of Franco-Italian friendship negotiations. Actual war in Spain was largely stalemated by rains except for small Insurgent advances on the Teruel-to-the-sea front. 4 Methodists Plan Special Services The official board of the Mam Street Methodist church In collabo rating with the pastor will observe the two hundredth anniversary Old ersgate commemoration by carrying out the program that originated from the general board of the church. The program will consist of special serv ices Sunday and on Tuesday at 8 p. m. when the sacrament of the Lord's supper will be had. Dr. Jouett P. Bray states that every church in the Southern divi sion will hold these services on these days. On May 29 the closing program of this church-wide movement will be climaxed by a deep spiritual awakening. The public la Invited to attend these special services, states the pastor. Dinner To Climax Masonic Reunion A chicken dinner to be served in the Masonic temple at 8 o'clock this evening will culminate the semi annual reunion of Medford consis tory. Members from all parts of this territory have been attending the reunion. Eckener, Roosevelt Talk Helium Deal WASHINGTON, May 20. ( AP ) Dr. Hugo Eckener. German Zeppelin builder, and German Ambassador Hans Dleckhoff discussed . briefly with President Roosevelt today the question of making American helium available for use in German airships. Previously the White House had said the visit would be merely a personal one In which Eckener and the president would exchange greet ings. 18th Traffic Victim PORTLAND, May 20. ( Mabel Taylor, M, knocked down by a hit and run motorist on March 28, died today. Her death was the 18th traffic fatality in Portland this year. Joint Commencement GRANTS PASS. May 20. Sunday. The painting, 7 by 12 feet In di mensions, is being Installed above the altar. It was presented to the church by Dr. LeRoy C. Jensen as a memorial to his father, the late Hans M. Jensen. Werner Jessen, pastor, will conduct the services. Former Postmaster Admits Fund Theft PORTLAND. May 20. (AP) A plea of guilty to a charge of em bezzling postal funds was entered yesterday by Willis F. Coffey, 64. former north Portland postmaster, when arraigned before Federal Judge James A. Fee. The case was referred to the pro bation officer, but Judge Fee told the defendant he saw little chance of probation being granted. Coffey was charged with a $164 shortage. 4 SOUTHAMPTON, England, May 20. (yP) Sir Abe Bailey, 73-year-old South African sportsman-millionaire who recently lost his second leg by am putation, completed a 6,000-mile voyage against doctors orders today to see his horse.
