The dramatic festival playa to be held In the evening In the high school SCHOOL DISTRICT LAND EYED Rearing of a petition for transfer of land In the Tolo school district to the Sams Valley district will be held tills afternoon by the boundary board composed of the county court and the school superintendent. Residents of both districts have signed the petition. The land involved lies on the north side of the Rogue river, and Includes the Southern Pacific rail road tracks, and property of the California Oregon Power company. The valuation Is approximately 8180. 000 and would make the Sams Val ley district valuation $400,000 and the Tolo district around 6200,000. At the present time, the Sams Val- ley district has a school mlllage of 18 mills, and the Tolo district has none. He stressed the lm Vortance of voters analyzing the platforms of political candidates and looking to them for an accounting of their stewardship of publle of fices. Interesting facts concerning the wealth of the United States, In gold and resources, and the comparative figures on production which account for America's high standard of lly Ing, were presented by the speaker. A solemn warning of the Inevitable result of excessive government spend ing was voiced by Mr. Wllklns, after giving Interesting facts concerning the mounting national debt of this nation. The serious effects on pres ent economic conditions on the youth of America were pointed out. Mr, Wllklns was accompanied to Medford by M. Boas Msckey, Port land manager of West-Hoiuday Com pany, Inc., newspaper representatives. Following the Rotary ,-r.-;tlng, Mr. Wllklns and Mr. Mackey. accom panied by W. A. Gates. William Walker and Herb Orey, left for Klam ath J"alla where Mr. Wllklns was guest speaker at a meeting of the Klamath Palls Advertising club.
