If present plans pan out, don't be surprised to see Steve 8 1 r e 1 1 o h and Polish Pa looka Joe Smo llnskl meeting In a rematch, and Red Lyons, the J o p 1 1 n Terror, tangling with tough little Jim my Lott, next week. Strellch, It seems, is not ask- I Ing for the re Rllr Bnlea match with Smollnskl. He Is telling LI Hard to "get me Smollnskl again, or else In fact, the Hollywood movie actor, wrestler, boxer, soccer player, etc., Is practically demanding another chance at the hated Palooka. and threatening to take a btg powder out of this country If poor Mack doesn't come across with Smollnskt, all wrapped up and ready to slaughter. So far as Lillard is concerned, all is OK with him. It would be "box office!' in capital letters, which, after all, Is what this business is all about. He says that Smollnskl, during pre liminary overtures regarding the brawl, doesn't seem so torrid for the Idea. However, he will keep right on Smollnskl's tail, he claims, and hope for the best. We have a hunch that little Mack will come across with the Smollnskl brute for Strellch to play with. If he does, that will undoubt edly be the top tangle. Red Lyons, the Joplln Terror, is a fixture on next Monday's presenta tion. Plenty of grapple fans have been wondering what happened to the sour-faced redhead following his beat ing at the hands of Bob Kenaston. The answer Is: Lyons demanded a rematch with Kenaston and, when it couldn't be arranged because of the Oold Hill pride's decision to return to the east, Lyons went off and sulk ed. However, after a good cry. he contacted Lillard with the challenge to anybody In southern Oregon, and so will be here for sure next Monday evening. In case the Strellch-Smolinskl Im broglio goes through as per hoped, Lyons will probably meet tough little Jimmy Lott, the ex -University of Alabama, blocking back. Lott has Improved at least 1000 percent since apeartng here over a year ago, and will probably get the call. At the ringside last Monday, It was remarked by Jack Murray that "no wonder Alabama turns out such good football teams when they have guys like Lott playing for them." That pretty well describes the former Crimson Tlder; he Is one tough char acter, although clean.
