Walker, president of the Commercial Finance corporation, will leave here by train Friday night for Chicago where he will attend the fourth annual con vention of the American Finance Con ference on November 10 and 11. Mr. Walker will go first to Portland where he will transact business Saturday. He will leave Portland for Chicago Sunday morning on one of the new streamline trains. Because the 60-cent loan offered on this year's crop Is near the price of corn on the farm, officials pre dicted many farmers would not seek the government loan. They added that many banks and other private lenders probably would make corn loans in addition to those under written by government funda.
