Hod Turner Here Hod Turner, who conducts a fishing and hunting col umn for the San Francisco Chronicle, was In Medford this morning, follow Inj a successful fishing trip to the Upper Umpqua river. He planned to leave today by United Airliner for San Francisco. He stated that fish were getting smaller In both the Umpqua and Rogue rivers, due to netting at the mouth of both. To Leave on Trti Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Perry plan to leave tomorrow for a five or six months' trip through the United States. They will go by Southern Pacific to Portland, then board the Canadian Pacific for De troit, where they will stay some time. From there they will go to New York City and Boston, and after visiting with friends, will proceed to Balti more where a sister of Mr. Perry re sides. Janouch. tupervlsor of the Rogue River na tional forest, announced today the release of the fire protective force consisting of 95 men. The men have been stationed at the various looxout and fire guard station throughout the forest. Mr. Janouch stated the men were being released because of the apparent elimination of lire hazard In the territory. However, he said, the men would be recalled In case of s sudden change In conditions. Webb to day on legality of state lino In spections to stop theft of milk bottles. "We have S good law In Cali fornia that makes It s misde meanor for one company to use another's bottles but there is a racket In shipping the bottles to other states," Secretary K. H. Keefer said. "We have Just learned that a lot of our bottles have been gathered up and shipped to Ore gon. We are going to take It up with Oregon officials to see If they csn do anything about It. "Unless we csn atop the thefts we msy have to use paper bottles, such at we have been using In resort business at Voaemlte and Uke Tahoe.
