Nell Creek, Lone Pine. Antelope, Willow Springs, Independence. Bams Valley. Talent, Mt. Pitt, North Phoenix, Derby, Sterling, Thompson Creek. Rogue River. Meadows, Applegate. Lost Creek. Table Rock. Trail. Gold Hill, Evans Valley, Little Butte. An derson Creek. Liberty. Beaver Creek. Little Applegate, Alderbrook. Shady Cove. Plnehurst, West Side. Howard and Medford. Orllfln Creek. Agate. Unlontown. Reese Creek. Wagner Creek, Oak Drove, and Pern Valley are sched uled to open on September 7. The Prospect school, owing to a new building program, will likely not open until late In September. UNDER LICENSE LAWS SALEM. Aug. 19. 7P All private vocational schools In Oregon and their salesmen now are being licensed under a 1937 law designed to elim inate "fly-by-ntght" schools which do not give students good value for the money they paid for an education. J. A. Howard, state superintendent of public Instruction, said today. About half of the schools have made application for licenses and the others are expected to apply within a few days. Each school must post a 92,500 bond and each salesman a $1,000 bond to guarantee they will conduct their business under the terms of the taw. Flight Kills Pigeon SCHENECTADY. N. Y. (TJP) A carrier pigeon died in Ellis hospital after completing 350 miles of a 600 mile race from Lansing, Mich., to Boston. W. M. Miss Enid Anderson has resigned her position as primary teacher and accepted a position in the Coqulllo schools. Her successor has not yet been named. Opening date for the Prospect schools has not yet been set because of arrangements for construction of the new high school building and re modeling of the grade school.
