Mean while, his brother, Granger F. Kenly. Is visiting In Ross, Cal., and will re turn to Medford at the end of this week. Visitors from Pomona Mr. and Mrs. Fred C. McCarty of Pomona, Cal.. are guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. R. D. Mcparty on Orchard Home drive. Investigation failed to connect Armstrong with the robbery and he was set free. Colonel Here Col. Raymond S. Pratt, chief of staff of the ninth corps area, was a visitor at Medford district CCC headquarters today and with Major George R. Owens, district com mander. Inspected the headquarters offices here. Colonel Pratt waa en route from an Inspection trip of dis tricts to the north. He expressed himself as pleased with conditions here. Officers Promoted Two Medford CCC district officers received promo tions to the rank of captain from first lieutenant recently. Henry B. McManus, commander of Camp Ap plegate, was promoted to the rank of captain in the infantry reserve July 33. William H.
