Anderson, chaplain of Medford post of tho American Legion, will return home tomorrow evening from the veterans' hospital in Roseburg. Mr. Anderson, who was recently elected chaplain of the local post for the 14th consecu tive time, ha been confined in the hospital for the past four month with a broken hip. suffered when he slipped on Icy pavement. Three Slightly Hurt Three persons were slightly Injured Wednesday evening when a car driven by Dr. F. O. Broatrom of Fresno. Cel., waa atnick by a machine operated by Adolph Olson of Trail on the Crater Lake highway 15 miles from Med ford, according to a city police re port. The Injured were Mra Mar Jorle .Broatrom, Carl Brostrom, 13, and Dr. Brostrom, who was driving the car. The report atated that Ol son swerved from hi side of the high way and atruck the left front fender of the Brostrom machine which was traveling In the opposite direction. . . July 33 AP The Pio neer walked through the streets of Eugene again today. Today gripped hands with yester day as the world famous pioneer parade, highlight of the fourth tri ennial Oregon Trail celebration, pro ceeded at oxen-pace through the downtown section of the city with an estimated crowd of 35,000 persons crowding the line of March. Led by a squadron of mounted po lice officers, the grand marshal of the day was Darwin Brlstow, grand son of Elijah Brlstow, the first man to build a permanent home In Lane county. In a later float, a reproduc tion of this cabin waa entered by Mr. Brlstow. Young, whoso grandparents came to Oregon In 1853, and Miss Ida Patterson, whose parents came to Oregon In 1S43. had a place of honor near the head of the parade. Close behind came the Junior queen and king with their escorts, heading a contingent of children representing an old Immigrant train with tiny covered wagons drawn by calves.
