He loft a letter which ihowed that he had been dwpondent, according to the coroner'a office. Death occurred about 7:30 Friday rUtht. Shortly before that hour Mr. Wrd telephoned hla nearest neigh -tor taking Mm to call aa soon aa poa alble. The neighbor lived four mllea away and arrived at 8:30. He found Mr. Ward dead, lying across a bed In Ma cabin. The neighbor, whose name waa not procured, notified Coroner Prank Perl. Rector from Olobo, Ariz., nine acrea and a seven-room home, known aa the old De Witt ranch. O. L. Ortman purchased an eight and half-acre ranch and a five room bouse on Beall lane from the Jackson County Building and Loan. . W. E. and Grace Jones from Hood i River purchased the large Milter resi dence In Jacksonville from Amelia Toff. Leslie Shaw, from South Dakota, bought a residence at 003 Maple stroet from Mrs. Phil Loosley. Mrs. Eva Zoe Carpenter sold a resi dence at 70S North Riverside avenue to C. L. A story would be sent out with the i photos, Underwood & Underwood wrote. Feature of the story la that Tex Rankin gave Mrs. Ryan her first airplane spin 30 years ago when she waa eight months old.
