President Roosevelt, his csblnet, supreme court Justices, high officers of the army and navy, and scores or uniformed diplomats will be grouped near the speaker's rostrum. Members of the house will cluster In the back of the chamber. The Rev. Zebsrney T. Phillips, senate chaplain, will open the serv ices with a reading from the scrip tures. There will be a hymn by i church quartet, not yet selected, l brief sermon by Dr. Phillips, another hymn and a benediction. Senator Byrnes of South Carolina also figured In the leadership pic ture, but some senators said he would back Harrison. Byrnes, like many others, refused to comment on tho leadership race until after Robinson's burial. It would be possible for the ad ministration to win the? party con trol fight and lose on the court bill. Only Democrats will figure In the first conflict, but Republicans will vote on the court bill. All 16 are opposed to It. Dr. Wledman said the emphasis was placed on training for reemployment and better citizenship, pointing out the respon sibility resting upon the Individual camp educational advisers. Dr. P. Q. As Orval Peterson lifted an old plank near the water tank at the Trail guard station and stooped down to peer beneath It, he was confronted with a rattlesnake, colled within three Inches of his nose. "We both stsred," Peterson relates, "but when he rang the bell, I Jump ed straight down the hill backward. If that forked tongue of his had been a trifle longer. I'd have been speared." BLAZE DESTROYS HOTEL AT BURNS BURNS, July 15 (AP) Fire burn ed beyond control this morning in the S130.000 welcome hotel fronting a full city block In Burns business district. Postmaster Walter Power and hU assistants succeeded In removing mall and valuable papera from the post office located in the hotel's south comer. E. W. Barnes, manager and prin cipal officer in the Central Holding company of Portland, owner of the hotel, said night clerk John Mc Grath discovered the fire under the floor timbers. Falling water supply developed high tension as the flames reached their peak, bursting through the roof of the hotel and threatening three nearby gasoline stations. The fire was controlled by noon Just as the water was exhausted. Mule'Kick Fatal For Klamath Rider KLAMATH FALLS. July 15. P) A kick from a bucking rodeo broncho caused the d'eath of Julius Lalo, 31-year-old Klamath Indian, It was learned today. The accident occurred at the Klam ath fairgrounds July 5. Lalo was thrown from the horse he was at tempting to ride and suffered a com pound leg fracture. He died several days later of gangrene In the injured member. Lalo was a grandson of Chief Lalo, veteran Indian scout who served with tho U. S, army in Modoc Indian war days. The machine left the road on the curve this side of the Chateau and ran up the bank, then rolled back and turned over, the mayor said he was told.
